Michael holds a master’s degree in political science and cultural and social anthropology and is currently working on his dissertation on infrastructure anthropology in Eastern Europe. Within the framework of OIKODROM, Michael Anranter was involved as a research assistant in the EU projects SPACES (https://oikodrom.org/spaces/) and NOPOOR (https://oikodrom.org/no-poor-2-2/) in addition to small projects. He is currently responsible for the research and coordination of artistic activities in the DANUrB (https://oikodrom.marmara.at/danurb/) project. Since 2018 Michael Anranter has been involved in the OIKODROM spin-off OIKOPLUS (http://www.oikoplus.com/) and is involved in the SYNCITY (https://www.syncity4.eu/) project. MichaelAnranter’s main interests are urban transformations and societies, infrastructure and environment, and participatory research methods.
