Bettina Prokop is social anthropologist (University of Vienna) and has a post-graduated diploma in Sociology (Institute of Advanced Studies, IHS, Vienna).

Fields of Research :
Her field of research is social anthropology, migration studies, gender studies and postcolonial studies. Her work engages with issues such as social inequalities and social divisions along gender, ethnicity and class with a strong interest in studying the relations between structures and agency thereby applying qualitative, participatory and ethnographic methods.
